“Convert Powerpoint presentations to video”

If you have a PowerPoint presentation and want to convert it to video to be viewed using video players or computers without PPT viewer, then PPT TO Video Scout is one solution.

This program takes you step by step through the conversion process. It asks such things as what kind of video resolution you want to use, if you want to capture sound or not, the rate of video compression and so on. The conversion process itself can be a bit slow depending on which of these you choose and how long it is. However, most importantly the process is fairly simple and easy. At the end of it all, you're also asked to specify the gap between transitions in the video which you can do manually or configure the program to select automatically. If the in program wizard isn't enough, the developer website has some in depth guides to the whole process which you'll find have more detail and useful tips. It's shame however that the final video output can not be in a bigger range of formats although it's a great solution if you want to share a presentation with those that don't have Powerpoint.

Conversions can be slow but this remains one of the best ways to shrink and share Powerpoint presentations.

The program converts PowerPoint presentations into AVI or MPEG video with sound. Supported video formats: MPEG, AVI, DivX, xDIV, VideoCD, FLV (flash video). Supported conversion modes: Normal (as viewed by F5 in PowerPoint), Automatic Slide Show, Manual mode.

The program integrates itself into PowerPoint: you can use the "Convert To AVI" command in File menu to launch the conversion. It couldn't be easier!
